Hi, I’m Bec, 19 years old, and a second year Early Childhood student at Curtin University. In a nut shell, I’m a choco-holic, coffee-holic, and I have a horrible case of self-diagnosed middle child syndrome. I’m a big thinker, and I tend to over analyse things most of the time.
The purpose of this blog is for me to have an online reflection, and a place to express my own, personal ideas about the topics we’re covering in class. Each week I’m being drowned in new forms of technology and being made to open my eyes to different ways of communicating through them; for example BLOGGING.
I could say lots about how scrambled my brain is about it all at the moment, but I’m sure I’m not the only person who is getting lost in this new world of ours (which is being taken over by technology).

I feel the same way every week there is so much more to learn. I think technology is a good thing but sometimes I feel it is taking over everything. I liked getting letters in the mail when I was little, now my 5 yr old cousin has an e-mail address! It is crazy what all the new things they come up with all the time.

Learning how to swim…
Bec – I love the photo and I appreciate your honesty. It is quite normal to feel overwhelmed by anything new – in this case technology. We need to come to terms with the fact that technology is part of our everyday environment. I strongly believe that it has the potential to break down the barriers we often create around ourselves.
I’m really pleased that you have chosen to take this class – it means you have an open mind and appreciate being challenged. Lina
